Abstrakt

The article discusses the importance of military power for the country’s foreign policy. In accordance with Clausweitz’s doctrine which says that war is an extension of diplomacy, the author of the article treats military power as a still crucial element that directly influences international relations. She believes that both now and in the foreseeable future this state will not undergo any radical change. She builds her opinion on the analysis of the conflict in the former Yugoslavia and the role that Poland played in solving national disputes in that region.
