Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The attached file is in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF format
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided
  • The text is written with interline 1,5; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal
  • The text meets the stylistic and bibliographic requirements set out in the guidelines for authors (references in Chicago format).
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

Author Guidelines

An article submitted for publication should include: the full name(s) of the author(s); information about the author(s), including the research or academic institution represented by the author (affiliation) and, where applicable, the entity funding the research presented; the manuscript, formatted in accordance with the guidelines below; the bibliography; an abstract in English; and keywords.

The structure of the article is flexible and should reflect the nature of the research problem. For the sake of clarity, authors are encouraged to clearly define the research questions and objectives, hypotheses, methods, and results or conclusions.

We recommend using the Chicago citation style, as it includes the most important bibliographic information, is relatively straightforward to apply, and supports the accurate calculation of the Polish Impact Factor (www.pbn.nauka.gov.pl).

A simplified outline of the CHICAGO style, together with examples, is provided below.
