Abstract

The article presents turning points and directions of development of social policy in Poland after 1989. The author characterizes the social policy reform processes in Poland, showing the background of problems and challenges that have changed over the last three decades. The article also presents the deficits and mistakes that were made when reforming social institutions and services. Finally, the author presents scenarios for the development of social Policy in Poland, pointing to various internal and external differences that may affect the future of the welfare state model in Poland.
