Territorial and administrative determinants of the reform of local social policy. The case of transforming municipal social welfare centers into social service centers

The presented study was based on the author’s experience related to participation in the Cooperation Models and National Reintegration Network projects and conducting training on social service centers for employees of social welfare organizational units throughout the country from 2021. The method of personal experience based on the knowledge of the researcher and trainer may, at least in the opinion of the author of this article, constitute an important resource allowing for the accumulation and analysis of the knowledge of practitioners – participants of research projects and training. The article discussed: local social policy and its determinants, with particular emphasis on the specificity of rural communes and the resulting local and region al determinants of the implementation of local policy and social assistance reforms.
