Niniejszy artykuł koncentruje się na aneksji Krymu przez Rosję w 2014 r., która stanowiła bezprecedensowe naruszenie międzynarodowego porządku prawnego, co wywołało natychmiastową reakcję społeczności międzynarodowej, w tym Unii Europejskiej. W obliczu tego naruszenia suwerenności i integralności terytorialnej Ukrainy UE podjęła liczne działania mające na celu potępienie i ukaranie Rosji, a także wsparcie Ukrainy w walce o niepodległość. Niniejszy artykuł analizuje stanowisko Unii Europejskiej w sprawie aneksji Krymu, skupiając się na problemach i wyzwaniach, które towarzyszyły jej reakcjom politycznym I gospodarczym. Omówiono konkretne działania podjęte przez UE, w tym nałożenie sankcji gospodarczych, politycznych i finansowych, a także wsparcie dla reform instytucjonalnych i współpracy w zakresie bezpieczeństwa. Ponadto artykuł przedstawia skuteczność tych środków i ich wpływ na stosunki UE–Rosja i społeczność międzynarodową. Celem Autorki jest wyjaśnienie złożoności i dynamiki reakcji Unii Europejskiej na kryzys krymski, a także wyzwań, przed którymi stoi ona w obliczu trwających działań Rosji w regionie.
This article focuses on the annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014, which was marked as an unprecedented violation of the international legal order, which prompted an immediate response from the international community, including the European Union. Faced with this breach of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the EU undertook a series of measures aimed at condemning and penalizing Russia as well as supporting Ukraine in its struggle for independence. This article examines the European Union’s stance on the annexation of Crimea, focusing on the problems and challenges that accompanied its political and economic responses. Specific actions taken by the EU, including the imposition of economic, political, and financial sanctions, as well as support for institutional reforms and security cooperation, are discussed. Additionally, the article presents the effectiveness of these measures and their impact on EU-Russia relations and the international community. The goal is to understand the complexity and dynamics of the European Union's response to the Crimea crisis, as well as the challenges it faces following after Russia’s ongoing actions in the region.
