Autor w swobodnej formie eseju próbował się odnieść do kilku wybranych problemów dotyczących wielorakich związków, jakie istnieją między współczesną demokracją i mediami oraz ich złożonych społeczno-kulturowych konsekwencji. Zagadnienia te zilustrowano w kontekście idei regionu i regionalizmu polskiego oraz odpowiadającego im ustroju terytorialnego państwa.
The author, in a free-form essay, attempted to address several selected problems concerning the multiple connections that exist between contemporary democracy and the media and their complex socio-cultural consequences. These issues were illustrated in the context of the idea of the Polish region and regionalism and the corresponding territorial system of the state.
