Substantional and accidental criticism of the state in contemporary anarchist thought in Europe

Abstract

Anarchism is a movement and political thought, for which the idea of freedom is the supreme value. The criticism of the state in anarchist thought is the result of a specific interpretation of the idea of freedom by anarchists. It may refer to the essence of the state or only its features. For anarchists freedom is like a sense. Freedom is the same sense as sight, hearing, touch, taste, smell. That is why anarchist criticism of the state has a specific character - different than the criticism of the state, formulated by other political movements.
