Efficient management of local integration processes of foreigners. Good practices of the City Hall of Lodz

The environment in which modern cities function is dynamic in terms of demographic changes. International population migration is a common phenomenon and generates new challenges for city authorities. Taking this phenomenon into consideration in public policies and management at the local level is a prerequisite for the efficient delivery of public value to citizens. The article explains international migration in theoretical terms. The statistical data related to the topic are also presented. The social inclusion of international individuals and their integration into the local community is emphasized. In the last part of the article, the author presents the city of Lodz’s activities in the indicated scope.
